Apple Computer co-founder selling in Scottsdale for $2.2M

Medium ba2254e6c2bda2508141b6ab2996e3c3 A.C. and Linda Markkula have listed for sale their three-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 28034 N. 100th Place in Scottsdale for $2.2 million.

The 3,570-square-foot house in the North Scottsdale neighborhood was built in 2000.

Mr. Markkula co-founded Apple Computer, Inc., and was the chairman of the company’s board of directors. Prior to that, he worked as a member of technical staff in the research and development laboratory of Hughes Aircraft Co., a marketing director at Fairchild Semiconductor and a marketing director at Intel Corp.

He also founded and served on the board of directors of Echelon Corp., ACM Aviation, San Jose Jet Center and Rana Creek Habitat Restoration. He is the chairman of the board of trustees at Santa Clara University.

He completed his B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering at the University of Southern California. He also has a degree in public service from Santa Clara University.

There were 3,085 home sales in Scottsdale in 2008, with a median sales price of $349,500.
