Dr. Thomas D. Kirsch bought a two-bath condo at 6949 E. Lafayette Blvd. in Scottsdale from Joseph Vlasic for $368,000 on June 2.

The 1,864-square-foot condo is part of the Villa D'Este condominium development, which was built in 1966 in Old Town Scottsdale.

Dr. Kirsch serves as an emergency physician and operations director in the emergency medicine department at John Hopkins Hospital. He is also the  co-director of the Center for Refuge and Disaster Response at the hospital.

He earned his fine arts degree from Creighton University, his M.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his master's in public health from the John Hopkins School of Public Health. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine.

There were 1,341 condo sales in Scottsdale in 2008, with a median sales price of $193,500.
